The city is holding its annual Independence Day Block Party on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Sacramone Park and on adjacent Tileston Street. The party will feature game booths, food, and free rides, as well as a live band and a DJ. There will also be face painting; bike and carriage decorating; pie eating, watermelon eating, and Hula-Hoop contests; vendors; and information from local organizations.
