Passes for Stevens Pond are now available for purchase. The pond, a public beach on Pleasant Street , is open to North Andover residents with the purchase of a season or day pass. A season pass costs $75; a day pass is $12. Hours of operation are 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. Certified lifeguards are on duty during those hours. To purchase a pass, proof of residency and auto registration are required. Swimming lessons are being offered for children ages 4 and older. The fee for lessons is $50 per child for a four-week session. Children are evaluated during their first lesson and are placed in a group according to their swimming skills. Sessions run from July 1 to July 25 and July 29 to Aug. 22, with swimming lessons held Monday through Thursday. For more information, visit www.nayouth.com/stevens-pond.html.
