Culvert repairs close Federal Street

Federal Street is closed at the Maple Meadow Brook stream crossing and is expected to remain closed through Aug. 23. The street is blocked off so that the town’s Department of Public Works can replace overflow pipes and complete needed water main work in the stream’s culvert. During construction, only neighborhood traffic will be allowed to use Federal Street, and the road will be impassable at the culvert, so residents will need to approach their homes from the appropriate end of the street. For more information, contact the Department of Public Works at 978-658-4481.
