At Special Town Meeting on Aug. 5, approximately 105 residents unanimously approved both articles on the warrant, including spending $600,000 to settle a lawsuit against the town filed by Haverhill, Aggregate Industries, and Northeast Region Inc. that wants the town to pay a share of the costs for the Environmental Protection Agency-mandated capping of the former Haverhill landfill.
