Library now has free music service

The public library recently added a new free service for its members. It now subscribes to Freegal Music, a downloadable music service that offers access to about 3 million songs. In all, the collection includes music from more than 10,000 labels, originating in more than 60 countries. Burlington Public Library card holders can access the service by clicking on to the Freegal Music icon on the library’s website,, following the link to the Freegal download page, and entering their library card number. Patrons are each allowed three music downloads per week. The number of songs they have downloaded for the week is recorded in the right-hand corner of the site. For more information, contact the reference department at 781-270-1691.
