Paintings by seniors to go on exhibit in Town Hall

The Ipswich Council on Aging has scheduled an art show, “The Golden Age of Art,” featuring paintings by seniors, on Aug. 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the Town Hall. “We have a painting class that meets on a weekly basis and have very talented senior artists,” said Sheila Taylor, council director. The show, free and open to the public, will coincide with the council’s annual summer picnic, which is scheduled for noon with entertainment to follow. The Council on Aging will also offer free photo IDs through the Essex County sheriff’s office at the picnic.
