Rockport National Bank president to retire


Longtime Rockport National Bank president and chief executive Peter Anderson plans to retire at the end of September, according to a statement from the bank’s parent company. He will be succeeded by Margaret Murphy, currently the bank’s executive vice president and chief financial officer. Since Anderson joined the bank in 1992, according to the statement, assets have increased from just under $43 million to just under $200 million.
