West Nile virus detected in Marblehead


The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has detected West Nile virus in a mosquito sample from Marblehead. According to the town’s Health Department, there have been no human or animal cases of West Nile virus identified in the town this year. The health department advises people to wear long sleeves, pants, and socks when outdoors, apply insect repellent, and drain standing water away from homes.
