Businesses drop charges after break-ins

Two local businesses have chosen to drop charges against two juveniles and an adult who police said broke into their establishments in late July. Owners of the Country View Diner and Sullivan Farms Ice Cream are seeking restitution from the three suspects and have asked for cooperation from their parents, but are not taking legal action. The two businesses were broken into in the early hours of July 24; police responded to a noise complaint in the area that night and found stolen items dropped behind the buildings. They then shared surveillance video with media outlets in an effort to identify those responsible. The same three people on the video were then spotted at a nearby gas station shortly afterward, and were arrested.
