Rotary Club set to celebrate 50th year


The Lynnfield Rotary Club, which is celebrating its 50th year, has scheduled its 48th annual chicken barbecue for Tuesday, Sept. 10, on the town common, Main Street, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by local businesses, the barbecue draws crowds of 750 to 800, said Rotary Club president Jason Kimball, and raises money for a wide variety of Rotary-supported community causes. Tickets cost $15 for a chicken dinner, $10 for a hot dog dinner. Meals come complete with side dishes, drinks, and desert.
