City seeks new health and wellness director

The city is seeking applicants to fill the new position of health and wellness director. The job is a public/private management post created through an agreement between the city and 24 nonprofit organizations that collaborate with the Joint Committee for Children’s Health Care in Everett. The director will oversee and build on the community health programs that have been carried out by the Joint Committee. Established in 1994, the committee works to enhance the health of the city’s diverse community, through education to promote exercise and healthy eating, by helping people to access affordable insurance, by combating racial and cultural discrimination, and through projects to enhance water and air quality.
