Community Trust home given to new owners

Students from the Greater Lawrence Technical School saw their efforts come to fruition recently when a home they helped to build for the Andover Community Trust was officially given to its new owners. Lawrence native Vonne Morales, her husband Osvaldo, and their children plan to move into the house at 98 Andover St. in mid-September. Andover Community Trust builds houses for deserving income-eligible families through the efforts of dedicated volunteers. To date, it has built six houses in town. The Morales family was one of six vying for the three-bedroom home; when applicants were narrowed down to two, the final decision was made by pulling a name out of a hat.
