The annual cleanup of Pine Grove Cemetery will take place from Tuesday through Nov. 1. Pine Grove, at 145 Boston St., is the city’s public cemetery. Any summer planters and items left on the graves will be removed starting on Tuesday as part of the cleanup. For more information, contact the Cemetery Division at 781-268-8000, ext. 13. Meanwhile, the city’s annual fall leaf and yard waste curbside collection is approaching. For six weeks beginning Oct. 28, residents can leave yard waste for collection on their regular trash days, including leaves, grass, twigs, and brush no larger than 4 feet long and 1.5 inches in diameter. The material must be placed in uncovered barrels or paper leaf bags and left curbside prior to 7 a.m. Leaf and yard waste can also be dropped off at the public works facility at 250 Commercial St. on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. until Dec. 31 or the first snowfall, whichever comes first.
