Selectmen propose special marijuana meeting

The Board of Selectmen has postponed the Special Town Meeting that was scheduled for Oct. 28, citing the time needed by the board for proper review of the proposed medical marijuana bylaws. The adoption of the proposed bylaws, developed by the Planning Board, was one of two items on the warrant, with the other being an article to approve balance transfers within town accounts. In need of more review time, the board postponed the meeting and is expected to schedule another Special Town Meeting in coming months. The bylaw changes require two-thirds approval at Town Meeting.
