Flint Memorial Library is scheduled to hold a writer’s round table with several self-published authors at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The round table will help aspiring writers as they prepare for November’s National Novel Writing Month. Writers who participate in the program begin writing on Nov. 1. The goal is to write a 50,000-word novel in 30 days. The short writing window attracts aspiring novelists from around the world, forcing them to lower their expectations and take risks to meet the challenge. To date, 108,732 novelists have signed up for this international writing challenge at www.nanowrimo.org. Flint Memorial Library will sponsor several events to mark National Novel Writing Month, including a kickoff party Tuesday and writing sessions throughout November.
