City redesigns website

Residents logging on to the city’s website this past week may have noticed it has a new look. The city recently redesigned the site, streamlining links and content to make it easier to navigate, according to city clerk William Campbell. Relaunched on Oct. 18, the website retains the same address, Mayor Scott D. Galvin initiated the effort several months ago when he appointed a committee. The panel consisted of Campbell; Marie Lingblom, the mayor’s administrative assistant; Andrew Creen, the city’s chief appraiser; and Brett Gonsalves, the city’s senior engineer. A consultant, Kevin Buckley, later helped finish the project, Campbell said. In revising the site, the city opted to remain with its existing Web company, Kansas-based CivicPlus.
