Proposals to make highway surveyor and tree warden appointed positions instead of elected positions are among the 17 articles on the warrant for Monday’s fall Special Town Meeting. Residents will also vote on articles that propose using $18,000 from the Community Preservation Fund for a conservation restriction on 103.3 acres of Bradstreet Farm on Main Street, and $10,000 from the fund for evaluation of a 187-acre parcel on Wethersfield Street owned by The Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts. There is also an article that seeks a temporary moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries. Special Town Meeting is scheduled for Pine Grove School beginning at 7:30 p.m.
