Sydney Fagundes, Tyngsborough: The sophomore netminder picked up her first shutout in the Tigers’ final game of the season, a 3-0 effort over Lunenburg. She made four saves, including one on a penalty kick.

Edison Forbes, Masconomet: A scoring machine as of late, the senior forward scored twice against Saugus on Monday, had the game-winner with 90 seconds remaining against Hamilton-Wenham on Oct. 25, and found the back of the net four times earlier against Newburyport.

Courteney Lanier, Lowell Catholic: In a 1-0 win over Notre Dame (Tyngsborough), the senior keeper tallied her fifth consecutive shutout, giving her 10 on the season.

Kylie Plaza, Danvers: In a 7-0 blanking of Gloucester, the senior midfielder tallied two assists. Four days earlier, she notched two goals and an assist as the Falcons beat Marblehead 4-3, clinching the Northeastern Small Conference.

Austin Prep makes playoff return

The Austin Prep girls are making their first tourney appearance in more than a decade. The Cougars earned the No. 1 seed in the Division 4 North Sectional. Under the direction of third-year coach Jessica Chiachio, Prep ended the regular season 15-1-2; a complete turnaround from last fall’s 3-9-2 finish.
