Planning Board holding Conomo Point hearing

The Planning Board has scheduled a public hearing for the subdivision of the central district of Conomo Point for Wednesday at the Essex Elementary School, Story Street, at 8:30 p.m. The board will hear a plan from a consultant from the Horsley Whitten Group that divides the area formerly called the north section into two: the north and central. The 24-lot central section includes Robbins Island and Beach Circle. Also on Wednesday, the Planning Board has scheduled an 8 p.m. public hearing on the town’s proposed medical marijuana bylaw, which is on the warrant for possible approval at the Nov. 18 Special Town Meeting. Under that bylaw, medical marijuana dispensaries and treatment centers will be added to the list of uses that require a special permit.
