Voters will face more than two dozen articles at a Special Town Meeting Monday night. Officials are asking to transfer $100,000 from available funds to cover the town’s share of expenses and upkeep of the Page School and Children’s Castle buildings and grounds; $40,000 from the water enterprise fund free cash account to purchase or repair valves, hydrants, water mains, meter pits, and to cover the removal of trees and brush throughout the water distribution system; and $32,368 from available funds to purchase a 2014 police cruiser. They are also seeking to transfer $150,000 from the free cash to the stabilization fund, and $1,500 from available funds to cover the cost of an administrative assistant for the Finance Committee for 20 weeks at four hours a week. The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at the town annex.
