Groveland appoints new fire chief


The Board of Selectmen recently appointed Robert Lay as the town’s new fire chief. He replaced John Clement, who retired at age 65 earlier this year, in the 14-hour-a-week position that manages the town’s 40-member call fire department. Lay is a longtime member of the department and former deputy chief of the Central Fire Station.
