Free UMass Lowell art exhibit explores Mexican, American cultures

A free art exhibit at University of Massachusetts Lowell that explores Mexican and American culture will introduce students and the public to the work of acclaimed Boston artists Elaine Bay and Raul Gonzalez III. Titled “Riding Toward Ninguna Parte,” the exhibit is running until Feb. 14 at University Gallery, and is open weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first floor of the McGauvran Student Center on the University’s South Campus. The show follows Bay and Gonzalez’s recent exhibit at Carroll and Sons Gallery in Boston. Partners in life and often in their work, the two also offered a free drawing class for students and the public as part of their university exhibit. For more information, visit
