Nomination papers available for town election

Nomination papers are available at the town clerk’s office at Town Hall on Bay Road for those seeking office in the April 10 annual town election. To be listed on the ballot, a candidate must return the papers with the signatures of at least 40 registered voters before the Feb. 20 deadline. The last day to obtain papers is Feb. 18. This year, voters in Hamilton will elect a selectman, moderator, town clerk, assessor, three members of the Planning Board, one member of the Housing Authority, a library trustee from Hamilton, an at-large library trustee, and three members of the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee. Nomination papers for those seeking membership on the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee are available from the school district offices, School Street, Wenham.
