Teen poetry contest underway


Poems are now being accepted for the Beverly Public Library’s 18th annual Teen Poetry Contest. To enter, students must attend school or live in Beverly. Prizes will be awarded to applicants in grades 6 through 8 and grades 9 through 12. Winners will receive their awards on April 29. The deadline to apply is March 3 at 5 p.m. Participants, who are limited to submitting three poems, may obtain entry forms at the Beverly Public Library, 32 Essex St.
