Bisignani to serve as town administrator for another 3½ years

After two years, the Nahant Board of Selectmen last month renewed the contract of Town Administrator Andrew Bisignani for another 3½ years. The contract will run until July 1, 2017. Under an unusual arrangement, Bisignani, a retired municipal administrator, is contracted for 19 hours per week, and he volunteers approximately 21 hours a week. His contract pays about $54,000 a year. “I’m happy to be here,” said Bisignani, a Nahant resident. “At this stage of my career, it’s good to be still working. I’m energized and glad to give something back to the community.”
