Duke’s Pub and Grille to allow bikini-clad dancers

A longtime Tyngsborough business owner has won a controversial victory after being granted a license to allow bikini-clad dancers to perform at his club. Don DiRocco, owner of Duke’s Pub and Grille on Frost Road, received clearance after a 3-2 vote by the Board of Selectmen. DiRocco is the former owner of Matthew’s strip club on Middlesex Road. While some residents at a public hearing expressed concerns that the addition of dancers would damage the character of the town, Police Chief Richard Howe said Duke’s has had very few complaints up to this point and would have to work within town and state laws to maintain order at the club. DiRocco has owned businesses in town for 45 years.
