Town to hold fourth annual snow sculpture contest


Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell and the Westford FunFest Committee are sponsoring the town’s fourth annual snow sculpture contest. The contest runs through Feb. 28. One or two selected pictures of snow sculptures can be mailed to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell at Hicks Farm, 124 Main St., Westford, MA 01886, or to Westford Family FunFest, P.O. Box 134, Westford, MA 01886. Entries may also be sent via e-mail to or Each entry must include the name of the participants, the theme of the sculpture, the contestant’s address, and a telephone number. Please indicate the division for the entry: children only (at home); family/group (scouts, school); or adults/business. The winners will be announced no later than March 5. A $50 prize will be awarded in each division. The snow sculpture contest is part of the town’s fourth annual Winter FunFest, which runs through March and features a variety of winter activities, games, programs, and events. In addition to the snow sculpture contest, this year’s Winter FunFest includes a celebration of art and music, a fashion show, and trivia contests.
