School vacation movie at library

The public library will celebrate February school vacation on Thursday with a free showing of “The Lightning Thief,” a movie based on the popular fantasy/adventure novel by author Rick Riordan. The plot follows Percy Jackson, a 12-year-old boy on a quest to prevent a modern-day war among the Greek gods Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus. The movie, which lasts two hours, will be shown at 2 p.m. in the children’s room at the library on West Emerson Street.
