Town to hire data collector for Board of Assessors

Stoneham is looking to hire a part-time seasonal data collector for the Board of Assessors. Completed applications, with a cover letter and resume, must be submitted to the town’s human resources office no later than 4 p.m. March 1. The job requires being responsible for the inspection of all real property in the town, including both an interior and exterior inspection. The data collector will be responsible for verifying or updating the data on the property record card within the assessor’s database. Other duties include building permit inspections and administrative tasks. Minimum requirements include an associate degree in a related field or equivalent education as an assessor or real estate appraiser, or 10 years of relevant experience. This position will average 18 hours per week and pay $20 per hour, with an anticipated start date of April 1. Applications are available in the human resources office at Town Hall, 35 Central St., or by calling 781-279-2620 to request an application by mail.
