Official groundbreaking held at Penn Brook Elementary School

Town and school officials and state legislators held the official groundbreaking for the Penn Brook Elementary School on Feb. 11. Construction began at the end of October 2013, but the groundbreaking ceremony was postponed after contaminated soil was found on the site, delaying construction for a month. Town Administrator Michael Farrell said that despite the delay, the project is now slightly ahead of schedule. The school is expected to be ready to open in September 2015.
