Candlepin bowling: Ball maximum size is 4.5 inches in diameter. Minimum weight is 2 pounds, 4 ounces; maximum weight is 2 pounds, 7 ounces. Players can roll up to three times in one frame. Also, downed pins are not cleared away during the player’s turn.
Tenpin bowling: Ball maximum weight is 16 pounds. Diameter must be at least 8.5 inches, but not more than 8.595 inches. Players can roll twice in one frame. Downed pins are removed after first roll.
