Building Committee examines maintenance needs at library

The Permanent Building Committee is studying what maintenance and repairs are needed at the Boxford Public Library building on Elm Street. The committee is expected to issue a preliminary report to the Board of Selectmen at its Monday meeting. A proposal to build a new library, requiring a debt exclusion of Proposition 2½, recently failed to gain support at Town Meeting or the annual town election. The board meets at Town Hall, Spofford Road, at 7 p.m.
