Harbor Sweets/Harbor Sweets Handmade Chocolate

Harbor Sweets , whose handmade chocolates have been a staple in Salem for 40 years, opened its expanded and renovated gift shop Friday. The gift shop, at 85 Leavitt St. in the building where the company makes its candy, has more than doubled its size, from 300 square feet to 660 square feet. It has a new welcome area and displays, as well as a 7-foot-tall antique cabinet with 260 drawers, from the building’s days as an Eaton Apothecary warehouse.

Two restaurants named after former Red Sox outfielder and North Shore native Tony Conigliaro are set to open late this fall. Designed as family-friendly sports bars serving American comfort food, the Tony C’s locations will be in Somerville’s Assembly Row complex and on 3rd Avenue in Burlington. Conigliaro, a Revere native, was 19 when he debuted with the Red Sox 50 years ago. The slugger’s career declined after he was hit in the face by a pitch on Aug. 18, 1967. He died in 1990.

By the end of the month, outdoor shopping plaza MarketStreet Lynnfield will have three new vendors. Soft Surroundings is geared for women with its clothing, home décor, and lifestyle offerings. Solstice Power Yoga will have its studio heated to 95 degrees for a more intense workout experience. Temazcal Tequila Cantina , which has a location in Boston’s Seaport District, features Mexican favorites, including guacamole de la Mixteca.
