Simon Malls in Burlington and Danvers will host their annual Diaper Derby on March 12. In this free event, preregistered crawlers under 12 months will enter a “race” to the finish line. Also at several Simon Malls, the Easter Bunny will be available for pictures. The bunny is already available by appointment in Burlington.
The Malden Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner recently, at which Tony Bartolo was named the 2016-2017 chamber president. Bartolo, owner of Tony’s Auto Body on Sharon Street, replaces Paul Murphy. Also at the dinner, the chamber honored members for helping raise more than $20,000 for local breast cancer patients, and presented three awards: Bill Kotowski with the 2015 President’s Award, Lisa O’Loughlin with the 2015 Executive Director’s Award, and Boda Borg with the 2015 New Member Appreciation Award.

The Peabody Essex Museum in Salem recently announced the appointment of Nathalie Apchin as chief financial officer. She most recently worked as CFO of Harvard Medical School. Apchin is a certified management accountant and has earned degrees from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and Kedge Business School in France.
