Lowell summer youth programs get $115,000

The United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley has awarded $115,000 to 13 Lowell area youth organizations to support programs that provide safe, engaging, academic and cultural experiences during the summer. Funds for this year’s Summer Experiences in Greater Lowell were raised at the 16th annual Spring Fling, held in May, and the annual golf tournament hosted by Lantheus Medical Imaging. This year’s award recipients are: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Lowell and Billerica; The Caleb Group; Community Teamwork; Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association of Greater Lowell; Girls Inc. of Greater Lowell; Greater Lowell YMCA; Lowell Community Health Center; Merrimack Repertory Theatre; Merrimack Valley Food Bank; The Paul Center for Learning and Recreation; United Teen Equality Center; and the YWCA of Lowell.
