Caregiver Respite Program launches in Reading

Reading Trust Fund Commissioners recently announced the launch of a new Caregiver Respite Program, which provides care for Reading residents by certified home health aides through Hallmark Health VNA and Hospice for up to three hours per month.

The new initiative is part of the Reading Response Program. It strives to give caretakers some free time away to go to their own medical appointments, run errands, or simply relax. The service is intended to provide caregivers a much-needed break while ensuring their loved ones are cared for.

The Reading Response Program is funded by the town of Reading’s hospital trust funds, which are separate from the town’s general fund and are not taxpayer funded. For more information about the Caregiver Respite Program or any other program offered through the Reading Response Program, call 781-942-6659.
