The Groveland Board of Selectmen voted 3 to 2 on Feb. 6 against providing a letter of acceptance or non-opposition to Elevated Access Center, which inquired about locating a medical marijuana dispensary at Federal Way and Salem Street, as well as a cultivation center in town at a location yet to be determined. According to William Dunn, chairman of the board, “There was a large crowd of residents at the meeting. I would say 90 percent of the people at the public hearing did not want it. Only four were in favor. I was on the fence with the proposal before the meeting, but for me there just was not enough information from the Elevated Access Center cannabis people to approve the plan. It was just too open-ended.”Linda Greenstein can be reached at email@example.com.
