Exhibit to showcase the early years at Northern Essex CC

An exhibit celebrating the founding of Northern Essex Community College nearly 56 years ago is scheduled to be on display Sept. 2 through Sept. 29 at the Buttonwoods Museum in Haverhill.

The multimedia exhibit, titled “Northern Essex Community College: The Early Years in Haverhill,” documents the founding of the college, its placement in Haverhill, and how it became a fixture in the Merrimack Valley during its first 25 years.

An opening reception with light refreshments is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buttonwoods Museum, 240 Water St. in Haverhill. For information, e-mail info@buttonwoods.org.
