The Boston Breakers of the National Women’s Soccer League officially signed the former Boston College forward, who they selected with the 38th pick in the 2017 draft. She scored 13 goals this year with the Breakers Reserves, the minor league affiliate.

The 55-year-old Massachusetts Golf Hall of Famer made it to the semifinals of the US Senior Amateur Championship, his first appearance in the 64-man tournament, held this year at Minikahda Club, Minneapolis, Minn.

St. John’s Prep will honor the 2003 graduate as its 2018 Distinguished Alumnus. The school’s baseball field will be named after the former BC player who inspired the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, which has raised over $200 million to fight Lou Gehrig’s disease.
