Medford Mayor Stephanie M. Burke has two new positions that will provide her with opportunities to promote the needs of local communities. Burke was chosen to serve on the Massachusetts Municipal Association’s 2018 board of directors, and also was selected by Governor Charlie Baker to fill one of the MMA’s seats on his Local Government Advisory Commission. The MMA is a statewide organization that advocates and serves as an informational resource to cities and towns. The advisory commission meets with top state leaders throughout the year to discuss issues of concern to municipalities. “I look forward to collaborating with other municipal officials and state stakeholders to allow me to better serve both my community and the Commonwealth,” Burke said in a prepared statement.
