The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce says the new Cape Ann Saves Energy initiative will help provide cost-effective power to local small businesses and nonprofits. The program will help local businesses take advantage of free energy assessments performed by Energy Source, and incentives and financing for upgrades from National Grid. According to a statement, some customers may be eligible for incentives up to 70 percent of the upgrade cost. The goal is to complete 75 installations through 2019. The Cape Ann chamber serves Essex, Gloucester, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Rockport.
