Milton wrapped up its Milton Reads! program with a celebratory reception at First Parish on Nov. 15. This year, residents read “To Kill a Mockingbird’’ by Harper Lee, and during the past few months, dozens of related events have been held. Hundreds of Miltonians, including nearly 100 high school students, participated in the program, which included performances, related film screenings, and even a high Southern tea. Organizers said they hope to run the program again in 2013 and took suggestions for books at the reception. A title or timeframe for the next program has not yet been released.
