Search on for new water superintendent


The town is looking for a superintendent to run the Avon Water Department, which supplies drinking water to businesses and about 4,600 residents. The former superintendent, John Tetreault, pleaded guilty in July to falsifying federally required water safety reports, and was fired in September. He had been Avon’s water superintendent since 1997. The job vacancy was posted last week on the town webpage. The deadline for applying is Dec. 14.
