Students, patriots get in spirit of volunteering

Weymouth High School and the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation will celebrate volunteerism with a pep rally at the school on Thursday. The school is working with the Patriots organization to promote volunteering, and as of last week, students had pledged to give more than 20,000 hours of their time, according to Patriots’ spokeswoman Sarah Leong. Students also have delivered more than 2,000 pounds of food to the Weymouth Food Pantry, she said.
