Buses coming to the YMCA

The Avon Coalition for Every Student has voted to pay for a bus to take students to the Stoughton branch of the Old Colony YMCA on half-days, according to coalition coordinator Amanda Decker. The YMCA has agreed to waive its fee for Avon students on those days, she said. There are four half-days left in the school year, and ACES was looking for constructive activities for students, especially those who have to wait several hours for rides home, she said. Details of the plan are still being finalized, but it could begin as early as January, Decker said.
