Ridership at the two Greenbush commuter rail stations in Boston has steadily increased over the last three years, while that on the Kingston/Plymouth line in South Weymouth continues to decline, according to a study released last week by the Weymouth Planning Department. The study found that ridership from the stations serving Greenbush is about back to its level before parking fees went up in 2009. The study found that the parking lot at the South Weymouth station, which serves the Kingston/Plymouth branch of the Old Colony commuter rail line, has continued to drop, with more than half the parking spaces vacant at the latest count.
