Fund-raiser to help seniors in crisis

A nonprofit that serves seniors in Plympton and 22 other towns in Southeastern Massachusetts is raising money for an emergency fund that provides food, fuel, and medications to frail elders with fixed incomes and in crisis. Old Colony Elder Services, based in Brockton, is selling $5 raffle tickets through January, and $1,300 in cash prizes will be awarded beginning in February. Winners will be notified by phone and posted online at www.OldColonyElderServices.org. To obtain a raffle ticket, call the organization at 508-584-1561 or send an e-mail to LDallaire@oldcolonyelderservices.org.
