Longtime health agent leaves

Health Agent Alan Perry worked his last day in Raynham on Friday and is heading to Attleboro for a position in the city’s health department. Perry was Raynham’s health agent for 13 years. Following the death of a Raynham man from Eastern equine encephalitis in 2011, Perry organized a coalition of Southeastern Massachusetts health officials who successfully lobbied the state for aerial spraying to kill mosquitoes last summer. Town Administrator Randall Buckner said the town has already started advertising for Perry’s replacement. The position has a salary range of $58,000 to $63,000.
