Massasoit Community College to expand local offerings

The construction of two classrooms and a biology lab at Massasoit Community College’s  Middleborough campus is just about complete, and school officials said new space will be ready for the spring semester. The new facilities will enable students to take all the courses they need to complete an associate’s degree at the Middleborough location. The $500,000 upgrade is being handled by Higher Education Partners, LLC, which does expansions for colleges and is paid later with tuition money. Currently 185 students take courses at the Middleborough campus, and the number is expected to go as high as 500. The college’s main campus is in Brockton; the Middleborough location opened in 2010.
