Selectwoman faces ethics review


The Board of Selectmen has asked the state Ethics Commission to look into whether Selectwoman Martha Gjesteby violated any rules or law when she showed a confidential board e-mail to a friend, who is an attorney. “We felt we weren’t expert enough in the law, and we need to know what the implications are,” Board Chairman Paul Carlson said last week. For her part, Gjesteby said she has filed an Open Meetings Law violation complaint against her fellow board members.
